so i get what seems like a semi-frantic IM from mouse asking me if i wanted to “go see something beautiful before it’s gone”.

and of course, without asking who, what, where or why, i said yes.

nebby had IM’ed mouse, mouse had IM’ed me, and we were teleported to deperado. in fact when i got there someone yelled that out, “this is desperado!” – which was very cool, because it was 4am and i wasnt fully aware of my RL surroundings, let alone my virtual ones.

so i let things rez. i see fire and smoke and pretty colors. very beautiful and vivid. but it wasnt until i took a view from above, looking down, that i saw the full scope of what she had done.

hidden among the large scenes on the ground (with smaller individual messages and visuals) was an even larger image.

eshi otawara had been “killing some time” and was responsible for the beautiful imagery around us, and under us. and if you’ve never worked inside of second life, it’s impressive enough if you can dig a hole without ruining things (by hand) so the terraforming she did, was in itself a work of art.

we talked a bit about smoking, the setting helped, and while i cant be certain i think cravings took part in this work. i think some of the most vivid ideas usually include a little of that in their inspiration. in anycase, thank you for inviting us eshi. i tried my best to capture my perspective of it before it wisps away.
